Is summer Over?!?

Well I have been so busy that I had no time for writing but here goes
The tourists are finding their way back home....life guards are no longer on the beach....kids are buying school supplies and a few leaves are changing colour already!!......Its fall

I had a great summer with people coming  to visit my studio from Poland, Scotland, England,Romania, Panama, well all over the world and across Canada and the USA!! The summer weather was not the best but it made for great sea glass picking.I have seen such great sea glass this summer from reds, oranges, to stoppers and marbles. There was a lot of this very pretty jade green that I never saw much of before, I will post pics up next time.I met alot of young people as well with beautiful treasures, I think they can see the glass better than us because they are closer to the ground :)

As you all know by now that Angela moved away to Hamilton Ontario about  a year and a half ago so we went our seperate ways.FYI she is moving back to Inverness and  is in the process of starting her own sea glass business here called buried  treasures sea glass by angela. buriedtreasureseaglass@yahoo.ca  if you wanted to get in touch, good luck Angela

I have to get back to the studio, finishing up an order for Maples Gallery  in Bishop's landing in Halifax

Seeing that Brenda checked in with all of you I thought I should do the same since I'm presently at my daughter's in Hamilton .
I too have been busy making jewelry here in Hamilton, Ontario and had the opportunity to go to Toronto to meet one of our jewelry suppliers. It was exciting to see all they had to choose from  (it never looks as good on the website).  I and my daughter were like kids in a candy store! ha I had to remind myself to stay focused on the real reason I went there, nice chains! So I did that first and then went onto my budget because it would  be easy to get carried away. I'm preparing for a home jewelry show at my sister-in-law's on Dec. 1st. Should be fun... So if any of you are interested in a home show before Christmas here in Hamilton or I'm sure Brenda would do one in the Inverness area, let us know by dropping an e-mail to the heading Contact Us.. Thanks for visiting our website and keep coming back because we post things frequently especially with Christmas coming. Now I must wrap some sea glass! Later!

 Hi There,
Well I have been very busy getting ready for all the Christmas markets and having renovations done on  my house. I added a gazebo style studio that should be finished for Christmas.Im making jewelry amongst  drywall dust, sawdust and paint as we speek. George and Dave are doing a fantastic job and I can't wait to see the finished product.
I had a wonderful time at the Cenntre 200 in Sydney last weekend. It was so nice to see all my vendor buddies again I will be at the Elves fair in Inverness this weekend and I will be in Baddeck on Dec. 4th. My jewelry will be at the "Refinery" behind the bear paw and if you have any pieces of glass that you want me to wrap for you don't heistate to call me at 902-258-2928.

Hi Everyone and "Happy Canada Day from Tears Of Glass!"
Brenda is hard at work in Inverness going to the local craft markets(Inverness on Saturdays and Mabou on Sundays),  at the Joan Harriss Cruise ship pavillion in Sydney on some days during the week where our jewelry is also on display  and she showcased our work at the  Canadian Nurses' Convention in Halifax. She is also getting ready for the PEI Sea Glass Festival on July 16th where there will be many Sea Glass vendors on hand, it will be a fun filled day so if you are in the region at this time and you love Sea Glass you should venture there! www.peiseaglassfestival.com   I (Angela)  on the other hand is in Hamilton, Ontario making  jewelry and shipping it home. With the help of this website  we can post from anywhere we're at ! Since we wrote last ,our jewelry has been put on display in three locations in Cape Breton, the Information Centre in Port Hastings, at  the Provincial Park  in Cheticamp and at the Joan Harriss Cruise ship  pavillion in Sydney. We continue to sell our jewelry at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, the Sunset Gallery in Cheticamp, Inverness Art  Centre and our little studio in Inverness on Central Avenue. So please drop in and Brenda can talk about the local beaches Sea Glass pickin spots or anything to do with Sea Glass. If you find a nice one, bring it in and Brenda can make it into a beautiful piece of jewelry for you that you can take home where ever home may be. We have purchased lots of new beads to compliment our sea glass pieces and continue to learn new methods of wrapping. I hope you  enjoy our unique designs and we look forward to hearing from you.
 Best Regards, Brenda and Angela

The support that our friends, family and community have given us is one of the most valuable gifts that either of us have received. From suggestions, photos, words of encouragement, signs, orders, and even bags of sea glass, our village has made us feel like anything is possible. We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts.
